New Delhi | June 06, 2017: Today afternoon, police forces opened fire at the protesting farmers in Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh. As per reports, five farmers killed and many left injured in the attack by police officials. The farmers have been on strike from June 1 to June 10 demanding loan waivers and fair prices for their produce. NAPM condemns the state brutal action against the agitating farmers. State has completely failed to address people’s concerns and to save their faces they are rampantly using violence to silence the dissenting voices. The voices cannot be crushed even after suspension of internet services in parts of states like Indore, Ujjain and Dewas all in the western parts of the state. We condemn the foul play of state govt. restricting farmers of the state in reaching out to the people of country for support and solidarity to their demands.
Earlier this week, on Monday, the chief minister of the state claimed to meet few protesting farmers groups among them, Bhartiya Kisan Sangh affiliated with RSS called off the protest and agreed to the resolution put up by the Govt. whereas other protesting farmer groups rejected the resolution and continued to protest as planned. They reiterated that they are not going for anything less than what they are demanding. RSS remained on fore front to deceive the people of this country and this time again tried to call off the protest mid way without receiving any concrete resolution from the Govt. to meet the demands of farmer’s groups.
Govt. assurances have been a mere tool to silence the resisting voices. Madhya Pradesh Govt. remained on top even in the past in betraying the farmers of the state. Since last three decades, people of Narmada Valley could be seen exposing the state govt. where at present the state is planning to use heavy force to evict people of Narmada Valley during the end of July month this year. Govt. is acting on behest of corporate forces trying to keep hard working people at edges to reap profits out of their helplessness.
Over 5000 farmers from Narmada Valley, representatives of Kisan Sangharsh Samiti participating in Rally for the Valley organized by Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) have also condemned the incident during a public meeting at Nisarpur in Dhar District. Along with the people of Narmada Valley, NBA and Kisan Sangharsh Samiti, National Alliance of People’s Movements (NAPM) strongly condemns the brutal attack by police officials on the protesting farmers and the state’s involvement in the incident and further demands,
1) Immediate commissioning of judicial enquiry in the alleged killing of farmers by police officials.
2) Immediate suspensions of all the police officials involved and book them in the case of murder of deceased farmers.
3) Immediate monetary relief to the family of deceased farmers and Govt. job to one of the family member.
We also appeal to all the people’s organizations and political parties to stand unite with the protesting farmers and hold series of protests in solidarity with the protesting farmers of the state.

NEW DELHI/ NEW YORK, 6 June 2017 –Stars from the world of entertainment and sport including Sachin Tendulkar, Mahershala Ali, David Beckham, the All Blacks, Daniel Cormier, Novak Djokovic, Lewis Hamilton, Hugh Jackman, Thalía and Chris Weidman joined Super Dads, a new UNICEF initiative launched today to celebrate fatherhood, and highlight the importance of love, play, protection and good nutrition for the healthy development of young children’s brains.
With more than 90 countries celebrating Fathers’ Day this month, the initiative invites families to post photos and videos of what it takes to be ‘super dads,’ using the hashtag #EarlyMomentsMatter on their Instagram and Twitter accounts. To inspire families across the world to share their ‘super dads’ moments, photos and videos of UNICEF ambassadors and supporters who have got behind the campaign will be posted on UNICEF’s Instagram and Twitter, and featured on the campaign’s gallery between 6 and 18 June.
“When I was a young child, my father gave me the right amount of love, freedom and support to shape who I am today,” said UNICEF Ambassador and cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar. “Every kid needs protection, love, good food and play to support growth and development, and it’s up to both parents to provide these.”
“As a father, I’ve seen for myself the impact that every smile, every bit of love, and every positive action has had on my child during these precious early years of life. Being a new parent isn’t easy. There are many challenges that fathers across the world face. This campaign is about supporting and encouraging fathers so they can be the Super Dads their kids desperately need,” said UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Novak Djokovic.
“I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my dad, there’s no question about that. He was involved right from the start and gave me all the love, guidance, decent food, and care that I could have wished for. I’ll remain forever grateful to him for that,” said UNICEF supporter Lewis Hamilton. “I hope this initiative celebrates dads like mine across the world and helps those who are struggling get the support they need to be super dads too.”
The heart-warming videos and photos of such celebrity dads will be coupled with stories of super dads from across the world, including those who are doing their best to raise their children in extremely difficult circumstances.
One such superdad, South Sudanese refugee Idro, who is raising three daughters aged 2 months, 3 and 13 years old in Uganda’s Bidi Bidi refugee settlement, the largest in the world. Idro fled his war-torn country in July 2016, and is doing everything he can to keep his young daughters’ healthy, happy and safe. “My daughter asks me “when are we going home”, I hold her to my side to comfort her. I play games with her and carry her. She must feel that I love her. If I can’t fulfil for my family, I am not happy,” said Idro.
“The earliest years of life present a critical, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape children’s brain development – and it’s their parents who hold the largest stake in this process,” said Pia Britto, UNICEF Chief of Early Childhood Development in New York.
“The more fathers, mothers and other family members shower their babies and young children with love, play, good nutrition and protection, the better these children’s chances are of reaching optimal health, happiness and learning ability. Good parenting for young children living in highly stressful conditions like conflict or extreme poverty can even provide a buffer, helping them to fully develop despite adversity,” said Britto.
Good parenting in early childhood, especially during the first 1,000 days, sparks neural connections in children’s brains, laying the foundation for their future successes. Research suggests that when children positively interact with their fathers, they have better psychological health, self-esteem and life-satisfaction in the long-term.
“We need to break down the employment and societal obstacles that deprive fathers – and mothers – of precious time with their young children,” said Britto. “It is critical that the private sector and governments work within their communities to give parents and caregivers of babies the time, resources and information they need to give children the best start in life.
The ‘Super Dads’ initiative forms part of UNICEF’s global #EarlyMomentsMattercampaign, which aims to drive increased understanding of how children’s environments and experiences in early childhood can shape their future health, well-being, ability to learn, and even how much they will earn as adults.
All photo and video submissions to the Super Dads initiative will feature on the #EarlyMomentsMatter gallery. UNICEF will select the most heart-warming, humorous, and imaginative photo and video submissions post them on the organization’s own digital platforms.

सुधीर चौधरियों और रवीश कुमारों की बातों पर भरोसा मत करिए. ये पेड लोग हैं. ये दोनों अपने-अपने मालिकों के धंधों को बचाने-बढ़ाने के लिए वैचारिक उछल कूद करते हुए आपको बरगलाएंगे, भरमाएंगे, डराएंगे, अपने पक्ष में खड़े होने के लिए उकसाएंगे और इसके लिए देर तक व दूर तक ब्रेन वाश करते चलते जाएंगे…
रवीश कुमार को हर पत्रकार डरपोक दिखने लगा है. उन्हें दिल्ली में डर लगने लगा है. हर किसी का फोन टेप होता दिखने लगा है…लोकतंत्र में सारा सत्यानाश हुआ दिख रहा है…ये दौर भाजपा राज का है सो एनडीटीवी को अंधेरा ही अंधेरा दिख रहा है और रवीश कुमार सुर ताल भिड़ाकर गाने में जुटे हैं- ”अंधेरे में जो बैठे हैं, नजर हम पर भी तुम डालो…. अरे ओ रोशनी वालों…”
कुछ ऐसा ही हाल तब जी ग्रुप का था, जब कांग्रेस राज में उगाही के मामले में सुधीर चौधरी उठाकर जेल भेज दिए गए थे और सुभाष चंद्रा प्राण बचाए भागते फिर रहे थे. तब जी न्यूज को सब कुछ खराब होता हुआ, हर ओर अराजकता की स्थिति, अभिव्यक्ति की आजादी का गला घुटा हुआ, आपातकाल सरीखा माहौल दिख रहा था… तबके जी न्यूज के एंकर सुर ताल भिड़ाकर कुछ वैसा ही गीत गाए बकबकाए जा रहे थे.
दोस्तों, भारत अदभुत देश है. यहां कोई मोदी आए या कोई मनमोहन, जनता को बहुत फरक नहीं पड़ता. भारत वाले बहुत संतोषी और मस्त जीव हैं. जब हम सब अंग्रेज को सौ साल तक झेल गए जो कि बाहरी और विदेशी थे, फिर ये मनमोहन, मोदी तो अपने ही देश के हैं. मनमोहन ने क्या बना-बिगाड़ दिया था और मोदी ने क्या रच-उखाड़ लिया है…तब भी अंबानी बिरला लूट रहे थे, सत्ता के प्रिय बने हुए थे… आज भी अंबानी अडानी बिरला सब लूट रहे हैं, सत्ता के प्रिय बने हुए हैं… तब भी जो ‘अप्रिय’ थे उन्हें ठीक करने के लिए ढेर सारे सरकारी कुकर्म किए जाते थे, आज भी जो ‘अप्रिय’ हैं, उनकी हंटिंग होती रहेगी…
कांग्रेस के जमाने में जो आर्थिक नीति थी, वही भाजपा के जमाने में है बल्कि भाजपा वाले कांग्रेस से कुछ ज्यादा स्पीड से उनकी सारी पालिसिज लागू कर रहे हैं.. जीएसटी से लेकर फारेन इनवेस्टमेंट और प्राइवेटाइजेशन को देख लीजिए… इसलिए उनके नाम पर डराकर इनके पाले में करने का खेल वही नहीं समझेगा जो वाकई दिमाग से पैदल होगा…
धर्म जाति की पालिटिक्स हर वक्त थी. 1857 की क्रांति से लेकर किसान विद्रोहों तक में धर्म जाति के आधार पर गोलबंदियां की गई थीं. आजादी के इतने सालों बाद भी गोलबंदियां इसी आधार पर होती रही हैं. कांग्रेस वाले धर्म-जाति-क्रांति आदि के समस्त पैकेज का इस्तेमाल रणनीतिक तौर पर समय व माहौल देखकर करते रहते हैं, बिलकुल ‘निर्दोष’ अंदाज में.. पर भाजपाई और अन्य पार्टियां वही काम खुलकर ‘भदेस’ तरीके से कर रही हैं..
जनता चेतनासंपन्न होती जाएगी तो उनके सोचने विचारने और वोट देने का पैर्टन बदलता जाएगा. इसमें कोई घबड़ाने वाली बात नहीं है. हम मनुष्य आज जहां तक पहुंचे हैं, वहां तक किसी पैराशूट से हमें नहीं लाया गया है बल्कि हम क्रमिक विकास और इवोल्यूशन की हजारों लाखों करोड़ों साल की यात्रा करके आए हैं… ये यात्रा जारी है और सब कुछ बेहतर होगा, ये उम्मीद करते रहना चाहिए…
जो लोग भाजपा से डराकर हमको आपको कांग्रेस के पक्ष में गोलबंद करना चाहते हैें उनको बताना चाहता हूं कि कांग्रेस ने सबसे ज्यादा कम्युनिस्ट नौजवान अपने राजकाज के दौरान मरवाए हैं. वो चाहे पश्चिम बंगाल में नक्सलबाड़ी आंदोलन को कुचलने का काम रहा हो या पूरे देश में कांग्रेसियों द्वारा चलाए गए नक्सल-कम्युनिस्ट विरोधी अभियान के जरिए बड़े पैमाने पर छात्रों, किसानों-मजदूरों का सफाया करवाना रहा हो.
इसी कांग्रेस ने लाखों सिखों का कत्लेआम पूरे देश में अपने नेताओं के नेतृत्व में कराए. सारे पाप इन कांग्रेसियों ने कराए और सिखाए हैं. इसलिए भाजपा का डर दिखाकर आपको जिनके पक्ष के सपने दिखाए जा रहे हैं, जिनके पक्ष में हमें गोलबंद करने को उत्तेजित-उत्प्रेरित किया जा रहा है, वे ज्यादा बड़े पापी हैं. भाजपा वाले तो बड़े पापियों से थोड़ा बहुत सबक सीखकर आए हैं और इसका समय समय पर नौसिखियों की तरह इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं, और इस प्रक्रिया में पकड़े भी जा रहे हैं. कांग्रेस के जमाने में भी सीबीआई का रोजाना गलत व मनमाफिक इस्तेमाल होता था, आज भाजपा के राज में भी हो रहा है. सत्ता में आपने पर सबका चरित्र एक-सा हो जाता है, इसे समझ लीजिए क्योंकि सत्ता खुद में एक संस्था होती है जो सबसे ज्यादा मजबूत और सबसे ज्यादा संगठित होती है. सत्ता में भाजपाई आएं या कांग्रेसी या कम्युनिस्ट या सपाई या बसपाई या कोई और… सबकी कार्यशैली अंतत: सत्ता परस्ती वाली यानि बड़े लोगों के पक्षधर वाली हो जाती है… जनता तो बेचारी जनता ही बनी रहती है, थोड़ी कम, थोड़ी ज्यादा… वो अपने मित्र जेपी त्रिपाठी एक जगह लिखते हैं न- ”बाबू हुए तुम, राजा हुए तुम, आदमी बेचारे के बेचारे हुए हम…”
