Thursday Friday Xi visit to North Korea to meet Kim Jong-un has seen an important visit before G 20 summit and Trump- Xi meet in which North Kore shall be one of the key issues between two leaders in light of trade tariff war between two top economies of the world which may have global growth effect.
Xinhua News Agency has argued the importance of President Xi Jinping’s first official visit to North Korea. President Xi Jinping’s visit will be the first to North Korea by a Chinese head of state in 14 years – Kim Jong-un on the other hand has been to Beijing four times since 2018.
Xinhua reported that Chinese experts have called Xi’s visit a bridge between the past and future. The experts say the situation on the Korean Peninsula is at a crossroads and that uncertainties lie ahead.
But they predict a positive outcome from the summit between Xi and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
They also stress that China has aided the goal of the peninsula’s denuclearization as a mediator for peaceful dialogue.
