Meira Kumar will lead a Parliamentary delegation on a week-long visit to Hungary and Luxembourg Monday during which issues related to foreign affairs, defence and immigration will be discussed.

Vice-President Hamid Ansari on Sunday left for a two-nation tour to Czech Republic and Croatia during which several bilateral agreements on economic cooperation, social security and health care will be signed.First leg of the tour in Czech Republic, Ansari will meet President Vaclav Klaus, President of Senate Premysl Sobotka and sign three agreements on cooperation in economic and social issues.
"Under
the Social Security Agreement with Czech Republic, citizens working in either country for less than five years would be exempted from social security contributions," Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs Vivek Katju told reporters.Besides, the contributions of those who return after five years will also be protected through the proposed pact.Currently bilateral trade between India and Czech Republic stands at USD one billion every year.

Vice President has reached the Czech capital for the six-day tour the Czech Republic and Croatia.Head of the Protocol Unit of Czech Senate Mrs. Eva Hellova and Vice President of the Senate Mr. Jiri Leska welcomed him at the airport. Union Minister of State for Communications Mr. Sachin Pilot and four Members of Parliament are also accompanying the Vice President on this tour.
During the first leg of the visit, Mr. Ansari would meet the Czech President Mr. Vaclav Klaus, Prime Minister Mr. Jan Fishcer and Chairman of the Senate Dr . Premysl Sobotka among other prominent leaders. The three agreements which are expected to be signed during the visit would include agreement relating to economic co-operation, social security and a protocol on amending the bilateral investment promotion and protection agreement with the Czech Republic .
The Vice President would also deliver a lecture organised by the Prague Security Studies Institute on Challenges of Global Governance in the 21st Century.

India Parliamentary delegation to Hungary and Luxembourg includes MPs Naresh Gujral, Ganesh Singh, Mohammad Shafi, Davidson J Helen, Pannalal Punia, N Gowda Cheluvaraya Swamy, Lok Sabha Secretary General P D T Achary and other senior parliament officials.During their 7th-10th June stay in Hungary, the delegation will meet Hungarian President Laszlo Solyom, Prime Minister Viktor Orban and speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Pal Schmitt.

The Lok Sabha speaker will lay wreath at the statue of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore at Balatonfured and plant a sapling at the Tagore Memorial Park, a Lok Sabha Secretariat statement said.

External Affairs Minister S M Krishna is at the end of his four-day trip in Washington.
