Chemtura Corporation announce expansion plan in India

US-based Chemtura Corporation based company's global Chairman and CEO Craig A Robertson visiting India for the first time while addressing the Press conference in Delhi he pinned great hopes on Indian market further informed the Chemtura Chemicals India is set to announce business expansion.Chemtura plans to introduce of new products in New Delhi on 13 th April the day of Baisakhi. US MNC has been delivering successful products to the agriculture sector world wide and plan plant protection novel chemicals with special attention on high value corps such as citrus,tea,grapes and cotton. Mr Craig A Rogerson,Global Chairman Chemtura Corporation said,"We are looking forward to expand Global distribution channels and extend world class seed treatment expertise to Indian agriculture sector,in agriculture,our main focus is for enhancing crop quality and increasing yield by providing suitable plant protection chemicals." Chemtura Chemicals India is leader in Seed Enhancement its leadership well established in India,Bangladesh and Nepal company is all set to revolutionize Indian agriculture the company is looking at acquisitions as it wants to expand its business in India fast.Chemtura Chemicals India (CCI),plans to double its annual sales from the current about USD three billion to USD six billion in 2015 CCI which currently has a business of USD 100 million, would focus providing agro-solutions to high value crops like cotton, tea, grapes among other crops. Chemtura subsidiary in Uttar Pradesh makes chemicals like chlorpyrifos.Robertson said that India is a big market for Chemtura and it plans to double its annual sales from the current about USD three billion to USD six billion in 2015.Chemtura manufacture and sell more than 3,500 products and formulations in more than 100 countries,their products include polymer additives,pool and spa products,petroleum additives,crop protection products and fluids,urethane pre - polymers and intermediates and household cleaners.

"Chemtura Director South Asia Bharat K Pandey told reporters, here that The company would look at expansion either by setting up a manufacturing unit or acquiring chemical manufacturing units, he said, adding that Chemtura has already started the
process.
