International Seminar on Tagore’s Universalism
Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation under the aegis of the Ministry has organised an international conference on Tagore’s Universalism in New Delhi, Kolkata and Dhaka to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. The two-day conference began in New Delhi today taking up subset of themes such as “Individual & the Universe”, “The Samaja & the Universe” and “Towards Universal Humanism”.

Professor Anisuzzaman, Professor Zillur Rahman Siddiqui, Syed Shamsul Haque besides other Tagore experts and exponents of Tagore music from Bangladesh, Dr. Saranindranath Tagore from Singapore, Professor Bikash Sinha, POrofessor Amiya Deb, Prof. Sourin Bhattacharjee, Prof. P B Mangla, Dr. H K Kaul, Professor Namwar Singh from India took part in the seminar. The seminar has been planned by Professor Sankha Ghosh, the leading poet and Tagore scholar.
