Russian FM Kudrin announces liberal privatisation drive
Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin has announced a major privatisation drive. Speaking at a conference in Moscow, he said Russia will sell its majority share holding in oil companies as well as in the finance, communication and transport sectors. State Airlines Aeroflot is also to be sold off. Analysts say the announcement marks a major shift in Russia's economic policy.
