Karnataka Lokayukta regrets leakage

Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde said the full report will be submitted to the Government on Friday. Speaking in Bangalore this morning, Justice Hegde owned responsibility for the leak but asserted that his office is not responsible for it. He expressed suspicion about his phone being tapped for the last few days and said the media selectively revealed the names of some persons and excluded some others.

Government had asked Lokayukta to probe all the cases of illegal mining since 2000 in the state. The interim report was submitted in 2008 and the final report has to be submitted now.Karnataka State Congress President, G Parameshwara demanded the resignation of Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa in view of the Lokayukta report allegedly mentioning him as one of the beneficiaries of the illegal mining in Karnataka.

Briefing-media-BJP-spokesperson,said illegal mining is menace & being carried in many states,subject which needs tobe-dealt holistically.Further said exports of
Iron-ore to suspend immediately before national policy.
