France Ambassador to India Jerome Bonnafont clarified new guidelines of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) tightening the export of sensitive technologies does not undermine the clean waiver given to India by the 46-nation nuclear cartel in 2008.Explaining his Government's commitment to full civil nuclear cooperation with New Delhi, French Ambassador to India Jerome Bonnafont said the decision taken by the NSG in its meeting in the Netherlands a week ago is not a measure targeting any particular nation.France's clarification on the NSG waiver came amid concerns in India about the new guidelines approved by the cartel at its meeting which restricts the transfer of NSG technologies to countries which have not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
