This will be the first Airline Pilot Simulator Training Center in northern India and shall cover an important infrastructural gap in Indian aviation.FSTC will install Six Full Flight Simulators in three stages over a period of 2 years. Sim Industries manufacture state of the art, third generation, level D full flight simulators. These are supported by the latest technology in terms of visual, acoustic, computerized and artificial feel to produce real time scenarios encountered by airline pilots.
These simulators are electro-pneumatically driven and consume one third of the electricity as compared to earlier generation simulators, which were controlled by means of electro-hydraulic motion. In the first stage FSTC will install three simulators of Boeing 737 NG, Airbus 320 and ATR type aircrafts. Target date of commissioning is 1st Jan 2012.
In the second stage, FSTC brings in Type Rating Training Organization (TRTO), within six months of incorporation. Under TRTO, we independently train new pilots and bring them to airline standards and DGCA Certification. In the third stage, we watch the growth in aviation sector and type of aircrafts inducted to bring more simulators.
In this occasion Mr Parag Vora, Director – SHVPL said “The endeavour of FSTC would be to help the airlines to increase this number with safety and efficiency by bringing in world class training to the door step at minimal cost”. He also added “This will be a boon to shrinking airline profit margins and paucity of trained manpower”.
The aviation sector in India is poised for a double digit growth and is expecting the number of aircrafts in the country to be doubled in next five years, increasing the requirement of trained pilots which will also be doubled. A training facility at the door step reduces the burden of airline towards travelling cost, visa cost, hotel cost and availability of pilots immediately.
Mr.Viajy Thakkar adds “No matter how unique the customer's requirements are, we deliver tailor-made, Full Flight Simulators to fulfilll the most demanding training needs. FSTC will be the trendsetter conquering highest standard in airline Flight Simulator pilot training here in India”
