India, UK signs agreement for greater cooperation in Defence research and development |
India and the United Kingdom have signed an agreement for greater co-operation in the field of Defence research and development. According to an official release in New Delhi, the agreement was signed in London by DRDO chief V K Saraswat and British Chief Scientific Adviser Mark Welland on Friday. This will facilitate making the best use of research and technology development capabilities of both countries through joint projects, collaborative research and industry and academic participation. It marks an important milestone in the technical collaboration between the two countries and a number of projects are being planned to begin in the coming months. |
