FICCI Business Delegation to Romania

FICCI Business Delegation to Romania accompanying

Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, Mr Jyotiraditya M Scindia

February 1 – 2, 2012, Bucharest
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am pleased to inform you that Shri Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, Government of India would be visiting Romania on February 1-2, 2012 for a high level Indo-Romanian Joint Commission Meeting. FICCI has been advised by the office of the Hon’ble Minister to mount a high level CEO delegation to accompany him on this visit. An “India - Romania Business Forum” inclusive of a Business seminar and B2B meetings shall be organized along with the Joint Commission Meeting.
“India - Romania Business Forum” shall proffer new opportunities for trade and investment with Romania and provide select Indian CEOs the opportunity to meet their Romanian counterparts and identify the strategic partners for potential business association. A strategic location, relatively lower costs of factors of production, a well educated and multilingual workforce and a gateway to Balkans and the rest of European markets make Romania a highly advantageous business location. It promises to be the perfect opportunity for those looking to expand their business overseas.
The time is opportune to explore this market in sectors such as Agriculture & Food Industry, Automotives, Renewable Energy, IT & ITES, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Tourism, Leather, Textiles & Apparels, Shipping, Oil & Gas, to mention a few. FICCI business delegates may also have the opportunity to interact with the Hon’ble MOS and his Romanian counterpart and also participate in networking lunches and dinners and opportunities for   courtesy call-ons on senior dignitaries.
In view of the significance of this ministerial visit and the immense business opportunities that it offers in this emerging market, we would be delighted to have your participation in this delegation to Romania.
To defray a part of the expenses such as printing of who’s who, communication expenses, etc. incurred in connection with organising the visit, a delegation fee of Rs. 25,000/- ( + Service Tax @ 10.3 %) per person is being charged. The participants will have to bear their travel & accommodation expenses.
We shall be grateful if you could fill up the enclosed ‘Registration Proforma’ and send us your response latest by 20th January 2012.
For any further details, your office may please feel free to get in touch with my colleague Mr. Samrat Soo, Deputy Director, FICCI at Tel: 91-11-23736313 (D) or E-mail: samrat@ficci.com / samrat.soo@gmail.com
