WE ASC World Education Culture Congress 2012
The IInd WE ASC
World Education Culture Congress 2012 on in the capital
The IInd WE ASC World Education Culture Congress 2012
enjoys the ambience of invigorating energy, on the subject of an evolving
culture of education and pedagogy, that is carving a systemic change
resulting in a unique process of crystallising objectives. The four day long
session was inaugurated by Kumari
Selja, Union Minister for Culture In the capital's Indian Council for
Cultural Relations centre. In her inaugural address she said, “I am happy to note that the IInd
WE ASC World Education Culture Congress 2012 is being organized from 12-15
January, 2012 which will deliberate emerging narratives and trends in education
culture.
The WE ASC Congress, along with Shruti Foundation is doing
pioneering work in influencing the evolving culture of education and pedagogy
for holistic education. I congratulate WE ASC World and Shruti Foundation for
their untiring efforts in influencing education for human development. I wish
Lady Rana and her team the very best in their efforts.”
Dr. Karan Singh expressed his delight in his Presidential Address, “In our rapidly changing world it is important that our educational and pedagogy systems should be examined from time to time to see how they can reflect the emerging paradigms around us. Integration is a concept that is growing in importance, but the methodology of integral faculty development has still to be worked out. The WE-ASC World Education Culture Congress 2012 organised by Lady Shruti Rana is a follow-up to the one held last year, and will carry forward the study of the evolving culture of education and pedagogy. The conference will be attended by a number of creative thinkers from India and abroad, and as one who has been involved in education for half a century, I send my warm greetings for its success.”
Lady Shruti Rana (Principal Founder of WE-ASC Education Culture Congress) said, “'In the evaluation system a reversal of assessment is recommended. There are certain key areas of emphasis that need to be reoriented. 'Soshan' how I feed on situations around me and 'Poshan', or how my mind is nourished, are the two keys to self awareness which come from inner and outer consciousness. Moreover, the focus should be on the quality of the minds of the parents and teachers, rather than unrealistic expectations from the child. There are several tools that can be employed to achieve this and we will be discussing these at length through the Workshops tomorrow."
Dr. Abhishek Singhvi - MP (National Spokesperson,
Congress; Eminent Jurist; Former Addl Solicitor General of India; Chairman,
Parliamentary Committee on Law & Justice) who will be giving the
Valedictory Address during the Closing Session sent in his good wishes and
said, “The IInd WE ASC World Education Culture Congress 2012, which builds on
the success of the 40 nation world congress held last year, has tenaciously and
persistently tried to create a new paradigm and a shift in mindset on the issue
of education and the cultural and local contexts in the education process.
Lady Shruti Rana and Shruti Foundation deserves to be congratulated on breaking new ground on a relatively little discussed and even leser analysed concept viz the assimilation and application of cultural contexts, natural knowledge and new experiments in educational systems with a view to developing practical solutions and formats for self development, leadership, sustainable progress and human empowerment.
The untiring efforts of the Foundation in evolving a culture of education and pedagogy, for deep systemic change and integrality in educational objectives, is highly commendable and deserves to be appreciated.
I wish Lady Rana and her team Godspeed and have no doubt that despite their significant achievements, the best is yet to come.”
“Education is such a treasure which enhances the beauty of
the person, it cannot be stolen by a thief and it makes ones life easy and
happy. A person with knowledge is respected not only in his country
but all over the world. It is for all round development and benefits the person
in many ways...”
- Bhartri Hari - noted Sanskrit scholar
