FICCI Business Delegation to Sri Lanka
on the occasion of Sri Lanka Expo 2012

I am delighted to inform you that Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce of Industry (FICCI) in association with Sri Lanka Export Development Board & Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka is leading a high powered delegation to Colombo from March 28 - 31, 2012 on the occasion of Sri Lanka Expo 2012.
 
Sri Lanka has traditionally been an important export market for India and is the second largest importer of Indian goods in the region after Bangladesh .
 
Sri Lanka is also India ’s largest trading partner country in the SAARC region.   The bilateral trade between India and Sri Lanka has grown four times in the last nine years increasing from US $ 658 million in 2000 to US $ 2719 million in 2009. 
 
As you are aware, there is a huge potential for cooperation with Sri Lanka in the sectors like; Fisheries Products, Legal Services, Ceramic & Porcelain Products Floriculture, Organic Products, Chemicals, Plastic & Plastic Products, Food & Beverages, Rubber & Rubber Based Products ,Coconut & Coconut Based Products, Footwear & Leather Products, Ships & Boats, Construction Services, Fruits & Vegetables, Spices & Allied Products ,Diamonds, Gems & Jewellery, Electronics, Light Engineering Products ,Financial Services ,Giftware & Toys, Handloom/Household Textiles ,Health Services, ICT / BPO, Tea, Textile & Garments. To defray a part of the expenses such as printing of who’s who, communication expenses, etc. incurred in connection with organising the visit, a delegation fee of Rs. 15,000/- ( + Service Tax @ 10.3 %) per person is being charged. The participants will have to bear their travel & accommodation expenses.
