Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi
inaugurated celebrations with the ceremonial beating of drums here on
Friday. Sonia Gandhi recalled that the first
Zonal Cultural Centre was conceived and established by late Prime
Minister Rajiv Gandhi at Patiala in November 1985. A choreographed
amalgamation of different cultural streams of India titled “Mati ke
rang” was presented. "

Selja and the Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda are also seen.
