“Best Destination for Value Award” Thailand


Tourism Authority of Thailand Honoured With
“Best Destination for Value Award”

Mumbai 4th May 2012:  The Tourism Authority of Thailand was recently honoured with “Best Destination for Value” award by Lonely Planet magazine in India during a glittering award ceremony held at a south Mumbai hotel on 3rd May 2012.

The awards’ function was attended by some of India’s top Bollywood and corporate leaders in addition to cross mix of travel industry heads that included aviation, hotels, resorts, tour operators, state and international tourism boards.

Presenting the award to Ms. Suladda Sarutilavan (Assistant Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Mumbai) was the latest entrant in B-town, Ayushman Khurana.

Commenting on the award, Mr. Sethaphan Buddhani, Director for Tourism Authority of Thailand said, “We are honoured to have received this award from Lonely Planet as a testament that Thailand has been positioned effectively as a destination that offers global and Indian visitors value for their hard earned money and deserving of an experience that offers quality at an affordable value.”

Mr. Buddhani further elaborated, “We are today India’s largest outbound travel destination and an award of this stature furthers boosts our team efforts at positioning Thailand across all segments such as the up-market traveler, leisure segments such as golfing, wellness and niche segments that include weddings, honeymooners, senior citizen travels and the family that wishes to explore new areas of Amazing Thailand.”
