Tehran nuclear talks to continue next month

Negotiator of Six world powers and Iran haven't been able to reach an agreement over Tehran's nuclear program but they say talks will continue in Moscow on June 18th and 19th..The Western side demanded Iran halt 20-percent uranium enrichment, a key process in developing nuclear weapons. In return, they offered to lift some economic sanctions against the country. On the other hand, Iran said it has the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, who is mediating Western negotiators, told a news conference that it is clear that both sides want to make progress, but significant differences remain.Iran's nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili expressed hope that progress will be made in the next round of talks, in which nuclear experts will take part.

Both sides are likely to have agreed to seek ways to prevent military tensions from heightening. However, observers say future negotiations will not go smoothly as huge gaps remain between their basic stances.
The latest round of negotiations ended in Iraq's capital, Baghdad, on Thursday, one day later than initially scheduled.
