Will Tokyo's to host the 2020 Olympics

Japan's Olympic Committee chairman says he is certain Tokyo's plan for hosting the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics will get high marks.Tsunekazu Takeda was speaking in Quebec City, Canada, where the International Olympic Committee executive is meeting on Wednesday.The IOC board will screen the applications of the 5 cities hoping to host the 2020 summer games.

Takeda also heads Tokyo's bidding committee. He said they had worked hard on their plan, making use of the failed bid for the 2016 games. He said he hopes this gives Tokyo a head start.

Takeda also responded to concerns that last year's earthquake disaster could be an obstacle in Japan's bid. He said it's important that Japan provides information about safety.Tokyo is competing with 4 cities for the summer games. They are, Istanbul in Turkey, the Azerbaijan capital of Baku, Doha in Qatar, and Madrid in Spain.
