What Makes A Children's Book Great? Last week, Publishing Perspectives, in co-operation with the Frankfurt Academy, organized a children’s publishing conference entitled “What Makes a Children’s Book Great?" Bringing together top US publishers, literary agents, booksellers, writers, and technology innovators, the conference helped identify and answer some of the questions surrounding the reading habits of children today and the most effective ways to reach them. The conference drew 230 attendees from around the world and was hosted by the celebrated children’s book publisher Scholastic.
