Russian President Vladimir Putin has renewed his criticism of the
United States and European nations over their engagement in the conflict
in Syria.Putin made the remarks to Russian diplomats who assembled in
Moscow on Monday. He said the western countries are making unilateral
moves that are contrary to international law.He said such moves can be
seen in so-called humanitarian operations and intervention in internal
conflicts. He referred to such actions by the western countries as the
export of a "missile-bomb" democracy.
He urged the diplomats not to hesitate to promote military products abroad as other countries such as the United States and France have been continuing the practice for a long time as state policy.
He also referred to the United States, which has been harshly criticizing Russia over the Syrian conflict. He said American politicians facing elections in November want to attract voters by expressing disapproval of Russia. He showed his frustration over Russia's increasingly isolated position on Syria in the international community by saying that the image of Russia abroad is twisted and does not reflect what his country is really like.
