British royal couple wins injunction on photos

A French court has banned a magazine from further publishing topless photos of the wife of Britain's Prince William. The court in Nanterre, near Paris, ruled on Tuesday that the publisher of the weekly French magazine "Closer" must not issue the photos again either in print or online.

Prince William and his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, filed for a court injunction against the magazine after it published the pictures last week. The couple accused the magazine of violating their privacy by taking the photos while they were on holiday in southern France. The court also ordered the publisher to hand over all the original images to the royal couple within 24 hours.
