Gujarat Fights Against Poverty:
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has announced the formation of new tribal district of Chhota Udepur at a massive tribal rally held at Chhota Udepur taluka of vadodara district, on Monday.
This 28th district of Gujarat will start functioning from January, 26, 2013. He also announced two ambitious irrigation projects worth Rs. 4000 crore that will cover one lakh hector land on the tribal belt of the State.
He said that by organising one thousand Garib Kalyaan Melas so far, we have benefitted 85 lakh poor families of Gujarat by distributing the assets and schemes worth Rs. 12500 crore.
