FROM THURSDAY 14 UNTILL SUNDAY 17, FEBRUARY - FERIA VALENCIA
Southern Asia arrives in Spain! More than 400 companies from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Dubai will participate in the South Asia Trade Fair 2013 (SATF) between Thursday 14 and Sunday 17, February, at Feria Valencia. 10,000 square meters of the largest fair grounds in Spain will bring together the latest fashion trends, art and culture from Southern Asia. This will be the first commercial fair of its kind in Europe where 25,000 visitors are expected to attend the event. Thursday and Friday are reserved for professional visitors whilst during the weekend, between 9:00 am and 7:30 pm, exhibitors will be able to show their products to the general public. Professional visitors can be accredited for a free entrance by registering on www.satradefair.com.
The objective of SATF 2013 is to consolidate exports from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Dubai to Spain and Europe; thus consolidating a long term platform between manufacturers and customers. “It is about defining the future European markets of Southern Asian industries, besides promoting their culture and tourism,” confirmed Marta Ferrando, Deputy Director of SATF 2013, on behalf of the organizer company Rangoli Events.
Star Asian fashion designers, such as Rocky S and Neeta Lulla from India, will present their Summer and Autumn collections during SATF 2013. The catwalks will be held at regular intervals by the designers and manufacturers during the period of the fair. Furthermore, there will be gastronomic tastings and dance shows from Southern Asia by 50 international artists. Each event will be between 10 and 30 minutes. Spanish models will share the runway with top models from India and Bangladesh apart from other countries, over the four day event conceived to promote Indo-Asian culture. SATF 2013 is organized by Rangoli Events in collaboration with Feria Valencia and Zing IMS (India), Frozen Moments and Culture Craft (Bangladesh), Event Horizon (Sri Lanka), First Kathmandu (Nepal) and Aah!zure (Dubai).
