Another
award to add feather in the cap of Data wind’s innovations

Delhi, 22 October’ 2012: Suneet Singh Tuli, CEO of Datawind,
the inventor of World’s cheapest tablet computer device has won the title
“Entrepreneur of the year” honored at the World’s first Sikh
Award ceremony organized by The Sikh Directory in London.
Suneet was nominated on the
basis of his experience of 22 years as a serial entrepreneur having previously
launched two successful companies that conducted Initial Public Offerings on the
Nasdaq stock market. Suneet has helped patent many technologies, which were
designed to further develop scanning, printing and imaging products that have
set world records in terms of price and performance. His ventures have received
numerous awards and accolades, including recognition by the Guinness Book of
Records. DataWind co founded by Mr. Suneet Singh Tuli and Mr Raja Tuli has
received awards from CNBC TV 18 and Mercedes Benz, The Young Turks Innovation
Award and earlier last year. DataWind was awarded the UK’s Most
Innovative Mobile Company for 2012.
It was
a historical and successful event organized by The Sikh Directory. All
communities from around the world were fully supportive and gave positive
feedback, which resulted into the success of the Sikh Award. Now in its third
successive year, The Sikh Directory announced the winners of this year’s
award at a ceremony on 21st October 2012 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge,
in London.

than 800 guests celebrated and shared in the success of the extraordinary
achievements Sikhs have made. This presented everyone with a unique occasion to
meet and network with Sikhs from all disciplines including business, scholars,
politicians and respected non-Sikh community members from all faiths.
People from across the world
including India, USA, Canada, Australia, Europe, Africa, Middle East, China and
Singapore were awarded by Sikh Directory for their respective achievements.
Datawind has aggressively
started the deliveries of Aakash II to IIT Mumbai. MHRD is planning to launch
the device in the mid date of November 2012.
