Day 5: 3^rd Mahindra Youth Football Challenge
U-14 Inter-School Tournament, Delhi

Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, Navyug Public School & Modern School, Vasant Vihar enter the Semi-Finals

New Delhi, November 6, 2012: Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj’s Sarath aggressive stance from the start of the match and his hat-trick helped his team to beat St. Xavier School 3-0 and enter semi-finals of the 3^rd Mahindra Youth Football Challenge, Delhi-leg played at Ganga International High School, Hiran Kudna.

Sarath scored all his goals in the first half in 12^th, 18^th and 27^th minutes.

Results: DPS Vasant Kunj (Sanath Gupta 12^th, 18^th & 27^th bt St. Xavier School 3-0

Match 2:  Modern School, Barakhamba Road defeated Birla Vidya Niketan School 4-0. Ramakesh Sharma made a contribution by scoring a brace in 7^th & 10^th minutes of the match. Suraj and Himanshu also scored a goal each to seal a victory.

Results: Modern School Barakhamba (Ramakesh Sharma 7^th & 10^th, Suraj 27^th; Himanshu 20^th) bt Birla Vidya Niketan School 4-0.

Match 3: In a tough fought match between Navyug Public School and Delhi Public School, Mathura Road finished with a penalty shootout where Navyug Public School won the match 5-3.

After the goalless draw, Navyug Public School kept themselves concentrated in penalty shoot-out and managed to score 5 goals in comparison to DPS, Mathura Road’s 3 goals.

Match 4: Modern School, Vasant Vihar defeated Apex Public School 1-0. Lone goal was scored by Pankaj in 16^th min.

Results: Modern School, Vasant Vihar (Pankaj 16^th) bt Apex Public School 1-0.

Match 5: In another match played in a day, Ganga International School won the match against Ryan International School 1-0. Vikas was the goal scorer.

Results: Ganga International School (Vikas 23^rd) bt Ryan international School 1-0.
