Indian Women’s Press Corps. We would like you all to participate in the event and to cover the same in your esteemed publications.

IWPC Panel discussion

This is in continuation of our discussion series following the ghastly gang-rape and murder in Delhi. Following the panel discussion on "Reporting on Rape", the IWPC is organising a discussion on "Laws relating to women and Contextualising violence against women", on January 12, 3 pm at our premises.

Panelists include Indu Agnihotri, Director, Centre for Women's Development Studies, Dr. Ranjana Kumari, Director, Centre for Social Research, Kirti Singh, Supreme Court advocate and former member, Law Commission of India and Ved Marwah, former Commissioner, Delhi police, former Governor Tripura and now a Faculty member with the Centre for Policy Research. As you are all aware, submissions to the J S Verma Commission have been made and there have been demands to amend the Juvenile Justice Act.

We hope all these and other issues will be discussed and we encourage you to participate in large numbers.

With warm regards,

T.K. Rajalakshmi                                       Mannika Chopra
(President)                                                  (General Secretary)
