Given the importance of global nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation in international relations and India’s special role in this area, Aspen Institute India and the Austrian Embassy, New Delhi invite you to join a conversation on “Nuclear Disarmament & The Future of Proliferation” with Mr. Mani Shankar Aiyar, Member of Parliament,  Rajya Sabha & Former Union Minister, Ambassador Alexander Kmentt, Director for Disarmament, Arms Control &  Non – Proliferation, Federal Ministry for European & International Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Ambassador Kanwal Sibal, Former Foreign Secretary of India, Mr. Siddharth Varadarajan, Chief Editor, The Hindu and Mr. Pramit Pal Chaudhuri, Foreign Editor, Hindustan Times.
What are the challenges emanating in the area of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation? There is a need to bring about open debate and raise public awareness about these issues as well as foster international cooperation towards this end.
