Shinkansen bullet train sales to India

Japanese government,private firms are working together to sell the country's Shinkansen bullet train to India. Japan's transport ministry and railway companies invited senior Indian railway officials to a seminar on Monday in Ahmedabad, western India.Japan is competing with France and other foreign nations to win orders for the planned construction of high-speed railways on seven routes across India.The route between Ahmadabad and Mumbai is expected to be the first where construction will start. At Monday's seminar, officials from Japanese railway firms and rail car manufacturers used slides to promote the safety of the bullet train. They also explained the benefits of introducing Japan's latest technology to India's railway industry.Media agencies
