Jaipur, 15April: The sixth edition of the Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) 2013 was formally inaugurated by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Vice President, Dr. Jyotsna Suri and the Principal Secretary Tourism, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava today morning at the Birla Auditorium by cutting a ribbon. The Secretary General of FICCI, Mr. A. Didar Singh was also present on the occasion.࠼

After the ribbon-cutting, Dr. Suri and Mr. Srivastava went around the various stalls and the booths of the travel bazaar and expressed their pleasure at its success. She said the travel bazaar was focusing on various products of tourism relating to heritage, eco, religious tourism, etc.
Dr. Jyotsna Suri informed that over 9000 pre-fixed and structured meetings are being held in the course of two days.  Throughout the day such B2B meetings were held. The member of FTOs wishing to do serious business with sellers of Indian tourism products has grown from 265 in 2012 to 273 in 2013. These buyers represent 56 countries, evincing interest in the diversity of tourism products offered by India
