IOR-ARC Economic Business Conference
4-5 July 2013, Mauritius 
Greetings from FICCI. 
I am writing to you in context of the upcoming ‘Economic and Business Conference of the IOR-ARC countries’. This important international engagement will be co-hosted by the Government of India and the Government of Mauritius and is scheduled to be held in Mauritius on 4-5 July, 2013.

The Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation (IOR-ARC) is a group of 20 countries and 6 dialogue partners. The 20 member states of IOR-ARC are: Australia, Bangladesh, Comoros, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mozambique, Oman, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, UAE, Yemen, Mauritius and India. The 6 dialogue partner states of IOR-ARC grouping are China, Egypt, France, Japan, UK and USA

This conference will bring together members of the business fraternity of these countries to discuss opportunities for greater trade and investments amongst themselves.  The two day program has been structured to include 
•    Focussed group discussions amongst panellists and participants on sectors that offer good potential to deepen economic engagement amongst countries and 
•    Structured one to one business meetings (B2Bs) with counterparts from across countries

The business delegations from countries that would participate at this conference will be multi-sectoral in their composition representing sectors such as Mines & minerals; Fisheries & sea food; Marine industries including marine engineering & equipments; Agriculture & food processing; Healthcare & pharmaceuticals; Automobile & auto components; IT & telecommunication; Infrastructure; Banking & finance; tourism; Consumer goods; Energy (conventional & renewable); and Education and skill development. These delegations are likely to be led by their respective Commerce / Industry / Economy Ministers.

FICCI has been nominated by the Government of India to organise the Indian business delegation to Mauritius.  
In view of the importance of this engagement, I invite you to join the Indian business delegation. To defray a part of the expenses incurred in connection with organising the visit, adelegation fee of INR 35,000/-  is being charged per delegate.
