IAF RESCUE CHOPPER MI 17 CRASH IN GAURIKUND

IAF rescue chopper MI 17 crash killing 19 on board which includes 4 IAF officers and 6 are of  ITBP unit in Gaurikund.

 Three search sorties were to be pressed into action t but poor visibility and bad  weather prevented  the sorties be allowed. Thus wait for the air worthiness.

The M 17  crashed chopper  was on its  way back to its destination  with stranded persons.An inclement weather or heavy load may be the cause of  the accident is matter of investigation.
