AirAsia Brings Home Gold from The BrandLaureate Best Brands Award
Tony Fernandes is Aviation Man Of The Year
SEPANG, 1st JUNE 2013 – AirAsia,
the world's best low cost airline four times running was once again honoured at the BrandLaureate
Best Brands Award ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur recently.
The
airline received "The BrandLaureate President’s Award" in the Best Low
Cost Carrier category. The President’s Award is indeed an
exceptional one as
the winners are specially evaluated and chosen by the President of
The BrandLaureate organisation.
AirAsia
Group Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes was also named as
The BrandLaureate "Aviation Man of The Year" at the award
ceremony.
Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said
"We are honoured to
receive this award. It is a recognition of the hard work, determination
and effort from AirAsia Allstars. We have a pool of talented
individuals who are constantly innovative and changing the aviation
industry and I am extremely proud of them".
Dubbed
as The Grammy Awards for Branding, TheBrandLaureate Best Brand Awards
is the number one branding award in Asia Pacific. Aimed at nurturing
and promoting local brands the recipients of the award are judged on
various aspects including brand strategy, brand culture and brand
performance.
