Airtel Rising Stars 2013 – Delhi Leg

DPS Vasant Kunj Ride Arjun’s Hat-trick to Crush Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Lodhi Estate 5-0

New Delhi, 24th August: Arjun’s hat-trick helped Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj thrash Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Lodhi Estate 5-0 in a knock-out match of the 2nd edition of the Airtel Rising Stars-Delhi Leg, at Ambedkar Stadium in Delhi today.

Arjun showed his brilliant speed and dribbling to score three goals and took his team to next level. He was well-supported by his teammate Rudraksh, who score a brace.

Arjun scored his first goal in 13th minute, followed by Rudraksh’s goal in 16th minute. After 10 minutes, Rudraksh scored his second goal and sealed victory for his team. Arjun kept opponents’ defenders busy from another wing and scored back-to-back goals in 37th and 40th minutes to complete his hat-trick.

In another knock-out match at the same ground, Keshav’s brace helped Modern School, Vasant Vihar defeat The Indian School, Lodhi Colony 3-0. Keshav opened the account with his first goal in 21st min, followed by Ayushman’s goal in 46th min. Keshav scored his second goal in 49th min and confirmed victory for his team.

Navyug School, Moti Bagh beat Tagore International School, East of Kailash 2-0 in another match. Kshitij and Prashant scored in 19th and 36th min respectively to win the match for their team.
