Organizing for Action
Naresh --

It's actually kind of scary to think about what would happen if some members of Congress get their way and let the government shut down.

Think about it:
-- Students would lose access to Head Start, which provides critical early education to kids in need.

-- Veterans could see their benefits delayed, and uniformed military could find their paychecks interrupted.

-- New Social Security applicants would have to wait to receive their benefits.

-- Small businesses would be hurt, as the Small Business Administration wouldn't be able to process new loans.
That's obviously just a small glimpse of what's at stake in this debate -- we need more voices of reason to speak out.

Add your name and tell Congress to pass a smart budget, and don't put our economy -- and programs that help millions of Americans -- at risk:

Our elected officials shouldn't use the economy, the budget, or even the threat of taking away health care from millions of Americans just to score political points with their base. We have to hold them accountable.

Thanks,

Lindsay
