Phablets Grab 30 percent of the Smartphone Market Share,

IDC released its report on  'phablets' are the core of Indian smartphone market, alike dual-SIM handsets did to the basic-phone segment about half a decade back.

Numbers released by IDC on August 29 show that sales of phablets devices with a screen size of 5-7 inches that combine the functional lists of a smartphone and a tablet has  grown seventeen times in the second quarter of calendar 2013. They account for 30 per cent of the Indian smartphone market, against about 5 per cent a year ago.
