Fighter jet crashes in Russia’s Far East, pilots survive

A Mig-31 fighter jet crashed in the Primorsky Kray in Russia’s Far East. The incident happened as the aircraft was being tested in-flight as part of its overhaul at a military airbase near the city of Vozdvizhenka, the Defense Ministry said. The jet crashed in the Taiga minutes after take-off. The two pilots ejected and were not injured in the incident. Preliminary reports suggest there was an engine failure.
