Dear Mr V S Sampath,

Sir, I am overwhelmed by the news headlines today ‘Vote for progress, dump corrupt: EC (TOI 28/03/2004)’. Sir, Congratulations!
My sincere thanks and admiration for what you have done to make voters wise!
Indeed a great leap forward in the making of a ‘responsible and accountable system of governance’ for the people of India.
A governance that is sensitive to human sufferings and  capable to fulfilling the ‘basic objectives’ of the Constitution.
Thanks and Regards
K C Agrawal

  Sir,
I will like to submit as under,
The purpose of establishing governments is to develop the nation and empower the people naturally. Elections are a process to elect worthy guardians to establish responsible governments capable of fulfilling the socio-economic requirements of the Constitution (Article 38). Article 38 is fundamental in the governance of the country (Supreme Court).
Freebies allure the voters and the most derogatory effect of it is laxity and impunity of our legislature and the entire government machinery down the line. Consequently it germinates ‘no accountability’ and ‘no responsibility’ in our entire governing system that is responsible to push the nation to the present state. Instead, it may be necessary for all Political parties and candidates to state their active developmental plans to alleviate the miseries of the people naturally, and attempts to fulfil the basic objectives of the Constitution.

[“Dole-out of freebies vitiates the electoral process and shakes the root of free and fair elections,” said a Supreme Court bench of learned Justices P. Sathasivam and Rajan Gagoi (TOI, 6 July, 2013, clipping 42A)].
Sir, please banish the practice of freebies during elections henceforth, else the country shall further dilapidate as analyzed in my book ‘India in Shambles, Only the Judiciary can save us’ (Section 4.5 III). A copy of the book is already sent to you some time ago. The book is also sent to the entire Judiciary with the sole purpose of establishing a ‘responsible and accountable system of governance’.
Sir, your decision now shall determine the future course of our country.
I hope Election commission shall be Judicious in addressing such issues prudently and set right the earlier wrongs in the interest of the nation and wellbeing of its large impoverished and famished   populace.
Thanks and Regards.
Sincerely yours
K C Agrawal
