USHA NORTHERN INDIA LADIES & JUNIOR GIRLS GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP 2014 to get Underway at the DELHI GOLF CLUB (DGC)

Country’s top two Amateur Lady Golfers Gurbani Singh and Aditi Ashok set to resume rivalry

New Delhi, May 05, 2014: Usha Northern India Ladies & Junior Girls Golf Championship, an Indian Golf Union (IGU) categorized event, is set to get underway at the Delhi Golf Club, New Delhi. This is one of the four zonal events that Usha sponsors. The other three zonal events are: UshaSouthern India Ladies Open, Usha Western India Ladies Open and Usha Eastern India Ladies Open. Usha International (UIL) is strongly committed to the development of sports in the country and has been a major supporter of Golf for the last 25 years. The event which has seen a record 66 entries this year will be played over three days and 54  holes in the stroke-play format.
Gurbani Singh of the Delhi Golf Club, who now enjoys numero uno position in the current Order of Merit list in the IGU Ladies Amateur Golf Tourwon the USHA All India Ladies and Junior Girls Amateur Golf Championship last year. Gaurika Bishnoi, last year’s winner of Usha Northern India Ladies Open and Bangalore based Aditi Ashok are slated to be the fiercest of rivals pitched against Gurbani this time around. The tournament will see the winner emerge on Thursday, May 8.

Other participants to look out for in the tournament will be the likes of MILLIE SAROHA, RIDDHIMA DILAWARI and SEHER ATWAL, regular top 10 finishers and who will be eager to make their move up MERIT list.
