Govt committed to give impetus to entrepreneurship in Media & Entertainment sectors

The Government is committed to give impetus to entrepreneurship in Media and Entertainment sectors. Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said this while addressing 8th Annual Summit on Media and Entertainment in New Delhi today. 
Mr Javadekar said, interaction between government, industry and society at large can help bring consensus on contentious issues. 
The Minister said, Indian culture and civilization is so diverse and rich that it has always attracted the world to India. He added that Indian cinema has reached to all corners of the world and it can be made more popular.
On problems in distribution and taxation, the Minister said, the mantra of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government is making fast decisions without any delay. 
Stressing on continuation of dialogue with all stakeholders, he said, Government and Industry have to think about the common consumer. 
He said that the emphasis should be on talent and creativity so that wholesome and healthy entertainment could be provided.


 

General Budget to be presented on 10th July & Rail Budget on 8th

The Budget session of Parliament will begin from 7th of the next month. The session spread over five weeks will come to end on 14th of August.
The decision was taken at a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs chaired by Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi this morning.
Official sources said in New Delhi that the General Budget will be presented on 10th and Rail Budget on 8th. The sources said, Economic Survey will be tabled on 9th of July.
Besides, transacting financial business, the session will have heavy legislative agenda of the new government.
