Turismo de Portugal wins Europe’s leading tourist board award

Mumbai, August 2014: The picturesque nation of Portugal recently won 15 awards at the World Travel Awards Europe Gala Ceremony 2014 held in Greece. Recipients of the awards were honored at a gala ceremony held at Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso in Athens, Greece.

Amongst the prestigious awards accorded to Portugal was – Europe’s Leading Tourism Board to Turismo de Portugal.

Receiving the award on behalf of Turismo de Portugal was Ms. Maria João Pereira, Operations Manager (photograph attached).

The World Travel Award is the most prestigious, comprehensive and sought after awards programme in the global travel and tourism industry. To be voted a World Travel Award winner is an accolade which many strive for but few achieve.
