First Cricket Test between India & Australia postponed due to demise of Phillip Hughes |
The first test match between India and Australia, scheduled to start in Brisbane next Thursday has been postponed. This announcement was made by Cricket Australia on its official website. The postponement of the test match comes in the backdrop of demise of 25 year old Australian batsman Phillip Hughes. Cricket Australia reports that funeral arrangements for Hughes has been confirmed for next Wednesday afternoon and it is neither feasible nor fair to begin the test match as originally planned on next day. |
