Hilton boys & Doon Intl. girls are city’s best

Dehradun, November 23, 2014: Hilton Boys and Doon International girls reigned supreme on Day 8, the finals, of Challengers League of Indian School Basketball League organized by Basketball Federation of India (BFI) and Uttarakhand Basketball Association in collaboration with IMG Reliance (IMG-R) at the Doon International in Dehradun on Sunday.
Boys from Hilton School beat Doon School 71-49 in the final while the girls from Doon International School won 52-32 beating Jaswant Modern School to become city’s best school basketball sides.
The girls final was the first fixture of the day and hosts never let away the advantage through all the four quarters to comfortably seal their supremacy as Milan Deep Kaur, also the MVP, scored 15 points for the champions.
Following the girls’ triumph, boys final begun. Doon had no answers to Hilton School’s attacking play. Riding on boys MVP Steven’s 24 points, Hilton came up as No.1 school side in boys category.

About the Basketball Federation of India
The Basketball Federation of India or BFI is the governing and controlling body of basketball in India, and is responsible for the development and promotion of the sport at all levels. BFI has been involved in conducting camps, clinics, events, and training sessions at its academies for the development of basketball.
