Aam Aadmi Party will unveil its vision for solving the electricity and water problems of the national capital in the third phase of its DELHI DIALOGUE titled BIJLI PAANI on Monday evening (15 December) at Sangam Vihar.
Details of the programme are :
Venue: DDA Park, Main Road Ratia Marg, Sangam Vihar (nearest Metro station Govindpuri – Purple Line Mandi House-Badarpur). Time : 6:00 PM onwards
Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will announce the AAP roadmap on the Bijli Paani issue at the event.
WATER : It is the biggest concern for the aam aadmi in Delhi, as more than 50 lakh people do not get piped water in their homes. AAP believes that the Right to food should include a right to safe drinking water, and is a natural requirement for the Right to Life under Article 21 of the Constitution of India.

At Bijli Paani Dialogue, we will present a detailed strategy to tackle Delhi';s water crisis. We outline a four pronged strategy to solve the water problems of all Delhi Citizens. It will include :
1. Free lifeline water
2. Universal access to potable water at affordable rates
3. Reviving the Yamuna
4. Rainwater harvesting to recharge ground water
ELECTRICITY : The Aam Aadmi Party is committed to providing access to basic energy needs to Delhi’s two crore citizens. It has a large, ever-growing and unmatched energy requirements. We will present a strategy to tackle Delhi';s electricity crisis based on four principle tenets:
· Minimizing consumer expenditure and maximizing efficient, effective and transparent competition amongst power distribution companies.
· Meet expanding demand for energy to enhance quality of life and economic activities
· Preventing socially wasteful and inefficient energy use and demand side management of energy, combined with adoption of energy conservation techniques
· Phased shift to decentralised and renewable energy. (ENDS)
