Voters in Croatia are choosing a new president as the country struggles with the prolonged economic crisis. The incumbent, Ivo Josipovic, is one of four candidates. Opinion poll show Mr Josipovic in lead, but is not expected to win more than 50 per cent of the vote making a run-off likely. The president has a largely ceremonial role, but has a say in foreign policy and is head of the army.
Croatia is the newest member of the European Union, joining in July last year.
