Ayonika Paul and Annu Raj Singh win Gold

Pune, January 19: Ayonika Paul (Rail) win Gold in the 10m Rifle Women and Annu Raj Singh(Mah) win Gold in the 10m Pistol Women at the 4th Gun for Glory Shooting Championship today at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mhalunge – Balewadi, Pune.

In the 10m Rifle (ISSF) Men, Ayonika Paul, 22, won the Gold medal scoring 206.8 beating Pooja Ghatkar with a difference of 1.3. Pooja (Mah) who scored 205.5 grabbed the Silver medal. The Bronze medal went to Railway’s Priya Agarwal who scored 183.5.

In the 10m Pistol (ISSF) Women event, Annu Raj Singh (AI) maintained the top score since 1st set of shots and clinched the Gold medal with a score of 199.2. Annu was followed by Pune’s Amita Gawate who won Silver medal with a score of 191.6 and the Bronze medal was achieved by Priyanka Survirkar (Rail) who scored 171.2. The difference between Annu and Amita was 7.7.

The prize distribution ceremony also took place today. The details will be sent shortly.
