Crime Patrol joins hands with Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi

Crime Patrol joins hands with Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi for a special series on child labour & bride trafficking during Republic Day

As India gears up to welcome it’s 66th Republic Day, Sony entertainment television’s Crime Patrol Satark  is all set to showcase a heart-wrenching series in a collaboration with Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi. Around   Republic Day, the series is set to explore special cases on child labour and bride trafficking.

Increase in crime rates play a decisive role in hindering the growth of a nation as a unit and there is a strong need to monitor the crimes across the country. Crime Patrol – Satark, a docu-drama aimed at crime prevention by recreating a dramatized version of real life cases attempts to make viewers alert and aware of possible dangers and criminal activities prevailing in their neighbourhood.

The series, whose motto is “Crime never pays”, showcases some of the most brutal crimes in India’s history including the 2012 Delhi Gang Rape case. The team, which travels to the length and breadth of the country to highlight  only authentic facts,  associates with activists who believe in giving back to society. Mr. Kailash Satyarthi who has taken India a step forward by bringing the honour of the Nobel Prize for Peace to country is a perfect example such an association.

Talking about the series, host Anoop Soni said, “We are delighted to associate with Shri Kailash Satyarthi ji who had got Noble Prize honour to our nation. Kailash ji’s initiative ‘Bachpan Bachao Andolan’ (BBA) denotes grassroots movement for the protection of children and has rescued more than 80,000 victims of trafficking, slavery and child labour. Through our special series we want the citizens of India to be aware about the human trafficking which is happen in our country very often; most of them are not even registered in the police files.”

Indian children’s rights activist Kailash Satyarthi says, “I have always propagated against societal evils like Child exploitation and trafficking in India and Crime Patrol provides the perfect platform for me to advocate this cause further. We need the  citizens of this country to consciously take part in reducing the  incidence of crime in their surroundings. With Crime Patrol I hope we can encourage people to do their bit to fight crime.
