H.S. Bramha assumes charge as Chief Election Commissioner

H.S. Bramha today assumed charge as the Chief Election Commissioner of India at New Delhi. He took over from V S Sampath who demitted office yesterday. After taking charge, Mr Brahma said the Election Commission's target is to conduct the upcoming Delhi assembly elections in a perfect manner. Mr Brahma is a 1975 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre and is a former Union Power Secretary.
