Obama declares end to financial crisis

Jan 21 US President Barack Obama has declared an end to the country's financial crisis. In his annual State of the Union address to Congress, he said that the US had turned a page after the worst recession since the Depression. The US President pledged economic policies to benefit all Americans. He called for Congress to close tax loopholes for the richest Americans. He said that he will veto any Bill which threatens his administration's achievements on health insurance, financial regulation or immigration. On foreign policy, Obama urged Congress to pass a resolution that authorises the use of force against the militant group, Islamic State. He stressed his ongoing commitment to fight extremist groups.
