ABOUT THE EVENT
President Barack Obama’s decision to accept Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invite for India's Republic Day comes at a historic time and presents a great opportunity to strengthen the relationship. President Obama's second trip to India, which closely follows Prime Minister Modi's eventful visit to the U.S. last September, has generated significant excitement in diplomatic, strategic and business circles on both sides. Clearly, India and the U.S. recognize the deep potential in the partnership to shape the global agenda in the coming decade.

Buoyed by a strong political will, it is imperative now for India and the U.S. to identify big-ticket action items and capitalize on new opportunities to inject energy into the relationship. Taking these issues forward, Ananta Aspen Centre in association with ICC is hosting a public discussion with Ambassador Frank Wisner addressing three key issues in his remarks– mutual strategic concerns, the business issues that needs to be addressed and managed, and a medium term strategy to expand trade and investment.
