Delegation-level talks between India, Sri Lanka end |
In Sri Lanka, delegation-level talks between India and Sri Lanka have ended. Prime Minister Modi will be addressing the Parliament later in the day. Prime Minister will also visit the Mahabodhi Society, before attending a lunch hosted by Prime Minister Ranil Wickeramasinghe. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a traditional welcome by Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat on his arrival in Colombo. Prime Minister reached the Secretariat in a convoy led by the ceremonial horse driven buggy. President Maithripa introduced his Cabinet ministers who were led by Prime Minister Ranil Wickeremasinghe, and other senior officials to Prime Minister Modi. The two leaders then retired for a brief one-on-one interaction. This was followed by the start of delegation level talks. |
