Top leaders to come together for the Ninth Mindmine Summit hosted by Hero Group
~ Summit aims to visualize 10 year roadmap for India~
–The Summit will witness stalwarts from different industries, governance, politics and media, who will discuss subjects of national interest around the theme ‘2015 to 2025 – India Decade?’
New Delhi, April 9, 2015: The Hero Group, an enterprise valued in excess of USD 5 billion, today announced the ninth edition of Mindmine Summit, which will be held on April 22 and April 23, 2015, at the ITC Maurya Sheraton, in New Delhi. 2015 to 2025 – India Decade?’ has been determined as the theme of the summit.
The Mindmine Summit is the annual flagship event of the Mindmine Institute, an independent think tank set up by the Hero Group. At this two-day forum, eminent newsmakers from diverse fields including governance, the political arena, media, e-commerce, fashion, civil society, social enterprises, arts, sports and several others will assess the evolving political, business and societal LANDSCAPEthrough a mix of interactive panel dialogues, one-on-one exchanges and debates. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister holding Ministry of Communications and Information Technology; Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Sitaram Yechury, Honorable Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha are some names from the list of elite panelists who will be attending the summit.
Amongst the many topical quandaries that will be examined at the ninth Mindmine Summit, some of them are:
  • Click over bricks – But can e-commerce really replace retail?”
  • The next 10 years – Gliding or rocketing ahead?
  • One nation, many factories – Do we need an India model?
  • Future-proofing India – How do we skill and scale quickly?
  • Lessons from Delhi: Are brute majorities a boon or bane?
The sessions will be expertly moderated by the most famous faces from the media.
Commenting on this, Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal, Joint Managing Director, Hero Moto Corp Ltd. and Chairman, Hero Corporate Services Ltd. said, “It gives me great satisfaction to see that a truly independent platform for discussion, debate and communication has been created in the form of Mindmine Summit. The Summit has attracted considerable attention for its ability to hold forth on contemporary and forward looking issues. Noted personalities and outstanding individuals will come here to analyze, inform, debate and introspect.”
The tenth edition of the annual BML Munjal Awards for ‘Business Excellence through Learning & Development’, that will recognise organizations who have demonstrated business excellence through innovations in learning & development will also be hosted as part of the summit.
Since 2006, luminaries and distinguished leaders from every field of human endeavour have been part of this iconic event. The previous edition of the summit (India: Economics or Politics?) looked at a nation mired in low growth, fragmented politics and policy stasis. This year’s edition will evaluate India’s new eco-political atmosphere and emerging social arithmetic; and how it can help the country evolve over the next 10 years.

The summit will be webcast live on the event website –www.mindminesummit.com

Each year as many as 45,000 Indian women die needlessly during pregnancy and childbirth, official estimates place India’s Maternal Maternity Ratio (MMR) at 167 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. On the eve of Safe Motherhood Day (10 April, 2015), White Ribbon Alliance- a prominent alliance of NGOs working on women and children';s health around the world-  is organising a media interaction to send out the message that every woman has a right to live and survive pregnancy and childbirth, and this can be achieved through citizen engagement.

This year';s theme ‘Nothing About Us Without Us’ – Citizens participation and engagement for improving women’s and children’s health  aims at reinforcing the demands for clear and standardized mechanisms and follow through for citizens’ engagement vis-à-vis policies, schemes and programs on women’s and children’s health.

We look forward to your participation.
